Want to waste your money?

Do NOT purchase this software! I do not understand that Apple has not removed this software yet! The last version finally starts but measures are in pounds and inches only! Hello this is medicine and not the grocery store!

Good Start

I would have rarted it five stars if it lets you store or trend for the same individual for future use as in real paper growth charts. It would also be nice to have emailing options as well. Hopefully those will be available in future upgrade. Nice application otherwise.

Unusable since iOS 4 update

This was a good app until the latest update for iOS 4.0. I use a 2nd gen 8 GB iPod Touch and installed the update a few days ago. Ever since then the app crashes during startup every time. I hope they release a fix soon. I have emailed the company about the problem but have not received a response.

Metric

For Canada and the rest of the world that uses metric the program should allow metric measurements

Growth charts

Waste of money. Doesnt show data in a table. Cant track multiple kids.

Love this app

I really liked this app for ease. Of use and functionality in si and imperial units. Since the recent OS update it is very unstable and crashes frequently. An update is needed- can you also include prem and data up to 1 year?

Excellent

This is great for the medical office, where the sole purpose is to obtain percentile readings on single point data on anyone child. For those who are looking for trending measurements, this is not what you are looking for. The calculation of the BP percentile is very useful and convenient.

crashes

crashes when I enter decimal pt. for wt. please fix!!! 9/23/2016. still crashing with decimal point. when will this be fixed?

Shuts down

I have enjoyed using this app for the last three years it is as it has seemed very reliable. However, since updating my phone, every time I enter a decimal point it shuts down. Please fix!! thank you

App keeps closing down

I have used this app for many years now but since my iOS upgrade several weeks ago it keeps shutting down. I even repurchased thinking maybe it had expired. What a waste of money. Very frustrating! I liked using this app in my practice when it worked. Wish it would work again. Or need something to replace it.

efficient and useful program

used this for years on Palm platform and waited for it for iphone it works easily and accurately highly recommended

Very good

Very good I used this on palm too. Only wish it would include other age/sex related variables such as heart rate, endocrine/hormonal values. Maybe even include ethnic variable characteristics for height and weight. Additionally it would be nice to see Downs and premature differences. Otherwise very nicely done. Thanks.

Dr

It did not work on my Iphone. What a deception!

Dr

I used to use this on my Palm PDA and it worked great. Now I got it for my iPhone 3G-S. its not working well at all. When inputting data on infants, it accepts the weight ok and when you click on the height button, it gives the weight % data. When you input the height (length) info, and then click on the Head Circumference button, nothing happens. No Height % data and you cant input the HC info. The only way to get the Ht % data is to change the gender and then change it back. If this doesnt get fixed, dont bother paying for this App. If it was only $0.99, it would be too much.

Stat GrowthChart

This latest version gets it right. In terms of ease of use and output/display, now surpasses Palm version.

not for tracking a patient

Sadly, no ability to set up a file for a patient and track growth over time - only supports single-entry measurements. Its great, though, to actually have an accurate CDC growth chart with percentiles. Adding a "patient file" in subsequent improvements would make this THE growth chart app for physicians AND parents - please consider!

Good port from Palm but crude interface

I used the Palm version for years during mass height and weight screenings. This version has all the functionality of the Palm version, and works as expected. Improvements over the Palm include much easier birthdate entry and number entry. Interface is not as slick as it should be for an app costing this much but it does get the job done. The results line text is small but gives all the info you may need. As of now it is the only app I have found that gives height, weight, and BMI percentiles for kids. The growth chart plots are not all that useful as they are too small to do much with, and they dont allow zooming to get a closer look. This app works best for those assesing large numbers of kids heights, weights, and BMIs.

Growth Stat Coder: Treo vs iPhone versions

I used to use this program on my Treo. I was very happy to see that it has been ported to the iPhone. However, the iPhone version does not have all the bells and whistles that the original Treo version contains. Not sure why they are giving us a stripped down version, and charging $5.99. The Treo version, was, as best I can remember, FREE. Furthermore, it would be much more readible if you could "pinch" enlarge the charts, taking full advantage of the iPhone interface.
